Rocscience is seeking a talented undergraduate student based in Africa, who is willing to work with our Engineering Development Team for Summer 2021 (June - August).
The position is based of out of the Rocscience office in Accra, Ghana.
Scope of the Position and Responsibilities:
We are working on developing state-of-the-art geotechnical software for slope stability, retaining walls, foundation and pile analyses. Students would be involved in research and development.
In addition, several concurrent three-dimensional Rocscience programs (Slide3 and RS3) can analyze complicated geotechnical problems. Interns will be involved in creating 3D models that focus on validation and creating scientific publications.
The successful candidate must be enrolled in engineering or a related discipline and must have completed the second year in University. Although the qualified candidate will work under the supervision of an experienced engineer, he/she must also be able to work independently and must exhibit creativity and initiative in problem-solving.
Term of Employment:
Employment will be three months (June-August 2021). Depending on performance during the three-month intern period, Rocscience will consider rehiring the successful applicant in subsequent work terms.
